הֲלֹום

הֲלֹום(b. h. הֲלֹם; cmp. הָלָא) here, hither; thus far. Zeb.102a (play on הָלַם, q. v.) איןה׳ אלא מלכות hălom alludes to royalty, as we read (2 Sam. 7:18) עדה׳ thus far (to be king). Ib. וכל היכא דכתיבה׳וכ׳ does hălom in the Bible always intimate royalty for all time to come?
